DOWNEAST RALLY ’24


The 2024 DownEast Rally is scheduled for May 17-19, 2024, and will again be held at Agassiz Village in Poland, Maine.   With two miles of shorefront on beautiful Thompson Lake in the Western Maine foothills, Agassiz Village offers expansive areas for camping along with a combination of bunkhouse and individual room rentals for those who may prefer not to camp. The large log dining hall easily accommodates 225 people.

Join us Friday night for a welcoming group Campfire, Barbeque and Vegetarian Chili, followed by live entertainment! With easy access to all types of riding you can spend Saturday enjoying the diversity of Maine’s lakes and mountains either by road or adventure route including nearby BDR access; maybe even plan a relaxing coastal ride. With Maine’s spectacular scenery, you can’t go wrong! Top it all off on Saturday night with our signature Down East Feast with Lobster, Chowder, and all the trimmings.  Vegetarian Lasagna will also be served for those who prefer not to have Lobster and Chowder.

BREAKING NEWS!!! As we did last year, DownEast Rally goers will have an opportunity for a Saturday ride to visit what is one of the finest BMW Airhead collections most of us will ever see!! Have you ever seen a 1923 R32? Well . . . you'll be able to say "yes" to that question soon, and there's so much more!  Join us for a ride up to Andover, ME on Saturday the 18th!  More info will be available at the Rally!

Rally Fees

Adults: $85 before May 1 | $95 after May 1, space permitting

Included with Rally Registration:

  • Friday night pulled pork, vegetarian chili and sides included
  • Welcoming campfire
  • Saturday and Sunday morning breakfasts included
  • Door prizes and 50/50 Raffle
  • Live entertainment Friday night
  • Awesome riding, friendship, comradery

* Saturday Night Dinner is optional for ALL Rally Registrations. *
Single Lobster ($15), Double Lobster ($30) or Vegetarian Lasagna ($5) supper options
Available for purchase during registration. 

Cancellation Policy:  Registration cancellation before May 1 is fully refundable.  Registration fees are non-refundable after May 1.

On-Site Registration and Check-In will be held at the Dining Hall this year!

Also at Registration, there will also be a Sign-Up Sheet for Volunteers . . . please consider volunteering to help improve the Rally experience for all!

  • CAMPING
    • Expansive areas available for camping at no additional cost.  Limited RV space available, NO HOOKUPS.  Please note:  If you are planning on coming to the Rally with an RV, please let Cedric Harkins (Rally Master) know by sending a quick note via the link at the bottom of this page.  Thanks!
  • A BUNK IN A BUNKHOUSE

Bunkhouses are all the same configuration.  A central door with rooms on ether side, 4 bunk beds in each room. 2 bathrooms with cold water sinks in the center. We will only be renting the lower bunks. All beds will be first come, first served. Located in the lower campus (Voyagers). 2 bunkhouses will be set aside for females only (Rangers). Showers are in a separate building nearby.

  • RENT HALF A BUNKHOUSE
    • You can rent half a bunkhouse for you and your friends. You can choose a  specific half bunkhouse in the upper campus (Pioneers). If someone wants to use the upper bunks you could fit more than 4 people in a room. If you do this, make sure that you tell your friends not to pay for a bunk when registering for the Rally.

  • ROOMS IN MALONEY LODGE
    • Maloney Lodge has small private rooms off a central hallway. Shared bathrooms and shower are inside. There is central lounge area. All rooms have 2 single beds. Rooms will not be assigned. First come, First selection. Bedding is not included.
